Human-machine interaction through simple hand gestures
This research involves the use of advanced Computer Vision techniques for the recognition of hand gestures for human-machine interaction. Applications can be developed in different domains.

Gesture Interaction via Kinect: in the digital humanities domain, we have used a Kinect - a motion sensing input device - for the development of an application for the temporary exhibition “1525-2015. Pavia, the Battle, the Future. 1525-2015 Nothing was the same again”, held in 2015, at the Castello Visconteo in Pavia. Visitors, through a Kinect sensor, using simple hand-gestures, could select one of the images of the seven tapestries about the battle and view additional details or enlarge elements (see here a video about the application).
