Structural Damage Detection

The main objective of TeamAware project is to develop an integrated and cost-efficient situational awareness system for first responders from different sectors. Our laboratory is involved in structural damage detection, focused on the automatic visual identification of major injuries in buildings and infrastructure. Our main objectives are: adding artificial damage on 3D models obtained from photogrammetry; rendering of a semi-synthetic dataset to train a neural network; damage detection on real videos acquired post-earthquake.

In collaboration with Eucentre (European Centre for Training and Research in Earthquake Engineering), that has received funding from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under grant agreement No 101019808.
