3D modeling of a lost piece of art

This is a case of virtual reconstruction of a lost piece of art, 3D modeled in 2004: a copy of the "Macchina Vasariana" altar, designed by Giorgio Vasari and dismantled in 1712.
A 3D printed copy has been exhibited as element of a tactile path for visually impaired people at the event “Abilitando, where technology meets disability”, held in September 2015 at the Monumental Complex of Bosco Marengo (Italy).
A full-color 3D printing, on a scale of about 1/20, is displayed at the Vasarian Museum in the Monumental Complex of Santa Croce in Bosco Marengo (AL), inaugurated the 7 July 2022 with a visiting tour that adds to the collection artworks exihibition a full immersive path made with interactive audiovisual media that describes objects and characters on display.
