Development, maintenance and support of components of the CERN Accelerator control system

The parties have agreed to collaborate in the development, maintenance and support of components of the CERN Accelerator control system. In particular (WP1) to collaborate in the synchronization project known as "White Rabbit (WR)" by providing device drivers for the WR-aware I/O peripherals. And (WP2) within the Front-End Software Architecture (FESA) project, to develop C++ classes to control generic controls hardware supported by the BE/CO group.
Included in each work package is a study of the tasks to be executed, development according to the BE/CO coding standards, quality assurance including testing, co-ordination of the work with developers from BE/CO, as well as the documentation of the work.
The department has make available its expertise in the domain of Linux device drivers and real-time operating systems for data processing, and programming languages such as C++, through provision of qualified members of its personnel ("the experts").
