Image Synthesis
Image synthesis is the most recent research activity of the
Artificial Vision Laboratory of Pavia University.
FORMAFLUENS
FORMAFLUENS is a new interactive environment for describing and studying
time-varying forms, based on an idea of Michael Leyton.
It runs on UNIX machines, under the X Window network transparent window system.
Within FORMAFLUENS, users can create a shape and then can make this shape evolve, according to 'natural' criteria. In our approach, shapes result
from the natural action of forces applied in the boundary.
Through the graphic interface of FORMAFLUENS, the simulation of the natural
evolution of a shape is easy and immediate; we expect that it will be used
to develop many interesting applications.
