People arriving by plane at Malpensa or Linate should take the bus to the Central Railway Station of Milan. There are trains from Milan (Railway Central Station) to Pavia and vice versa about every hour (routes: Milano-Genova; Milano-Ventimiglia; Milano-La Spezia; Milano-Savona; Milano-Sestri Levante; Milano-Imperia; Milano-Albenga; Pavia is the first stop only if the train is not slow, that is, in Italian, "L", locale - see Ferrovie dello Stato's official timetable). Also the bus company SGEA offers runs from Linate to Pavia and the last stop is Pavia, near the station. In Pavia there is only one station. The easiest way to reach the Collegio Nuovo, site of the workshop, is to get off by the pedestrian subway back to the station and than take the bus n. 6 (day hours - timetable) at the bus stop to the right, side of the station, or to take the bus n. 13 (night hours - timetable) at the bus stop in front of the station, for "Istituto Volta", a high school just near the College (see the map).
