Alberto Biancardi's
curriculum vitæ.

Alberto Biancardi was born in Pavia on March 15, 1965. After receiving his Maturità Scientifica certificate in 1984 with points 60/60 at the Liceo Scientifico "T. Taramelli" in Pavia, he took a degree in Mathematics on November 21, 1989 with points 110/110 cum laude, defending a thesis entitled "Metodi Matematici di Composizione in Cooperazione con l' Elaboratore," in which an interactive software toolkit for the analysis of musical scores based on mathematical models of harmony is presented.

After his graduation he carried out research and theaching activity at the Computer Vision Laboratory within the Computer Engineering Department of the University of Pavia. On November, 1991, he started the VII Ciclo of PhD degree in Electronic and Computer System Engineering at the University of Pavia. From December 1993 to July 1994, he was Visiting Scientist at Cornell University.

On October 23, 1995, he defended his PhD thesis "A policy-free environment for computer vision".

From April 1995 to April 1996 he was awarded a fellowship to work at the Laboratoire d'Electonique Fondamentale at the University of Paris South.
