"Alessandro Volta" Centre for Scientific Culture

The "Alessandro Volta" Centre for Scientific Culture is a non profit organization acting since 1982, supported by the local Administrations of Region Lombardy and Province Como, the Como Town Council and the Chambers of Commerce of Milano and Como. A special Covenant connects the Centre to the "Politecnico di Milano", the University of Milano, the University of Pavia and Brescia and the Catholic University of Milano.

Aims

• organization of international scientific conferences, seminars and workshops;
• courses of continuing education in science, technology and technical professions;
• research in computer science and diffusion of computer related culture;
• development of interdisciplinary aspects of science;
• promotion of scientific and technical culture;
• research in the field of technological transfer, in connection with national and international agencies;
• monitoring of problems concerning health and environment.
