Index Chairmen Program committee Scientific secretary Aims of the workshop Topics Program Workshop site  Workshop modalities		WORKSHOP MODALITIES The general structure of the workshop will be based on contributions, given by specialists coming from different scientific communities, and many panel discussions. The panel discussions will be conceived as a forum for an open debate, briefly introduced by each panellist, and mainly aimed at deeper investigation among the different approaches to perception, including the search for possible new solutions to problems in the different fields. The arguments of both solicited lectures and panel discussion will be planned and delivered in advance to the participants, in order to focus and qualify presentations and discussions on the hot-points characterising each workshop. The attendance to the workshop will be by invitation and limited to twenty senior researchers and twenty between Ph.D. students and young researchers. This to assure a qualified level of discussion and to stimulate new research perspective. The CALL FOR PARTICIPATION deadline is July 10, 1998. The results of each workshop, including both lectures and panel reports, will be published after the workshop. The material will be organised in an integrated way in a book of the series, which will constitute an advanced handbook for scientists and researchers. The series book will be published by an international press house.
